The Bremerton Naval Base
Here in the state of Washington you will find the Bremerton Naval Base more well known as the Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton. This base is a United States Navy organization that is located in the Kitsap Peninsula. This U.S Navy organization was created in the year 2004 by the merged of the former station in this city with the Submarine Base Bangor.
The Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton mission is to serve as the home for the fleet of the Navy throughout the West Puget Sound. This organization provide operation services, which includes: The support for the Fleet ballistic missile, nuclear submarines and surface ships, which have their home ports in Bangor and Bremerton. The Kitsap naval also provides programs, services and facilities for the needs of the hosted Fight commands, ship crews, tenant activities and employees.
The Bremerton Naval Base is known for being the third largest Navy organization in the United States. This Navy base is the biggest naval organization on the Navy Northwest Region. This organization is formed by its installations, which are located in Keyport, Bangor and Bremerton.
In the year 2005, this Navy organization was the recipient of the Commander in Chief Award for Installation Excellence and for being the best in the United States Navy. The Bremerton Naval base features: Four nuclear shipyards, two nuclear weapon facilities, largest fuel depot and the west coast dry cock.
